The album of the year goes to Kings of Leon with their latest album Only By The Night. Sex On Fire was nominated for song of the year and the album also had several other songs that were almost nominated as well.
In fact, there is a new song that I have recently really gotten into that I believe may be one of the first nominees for song of the year for 2010. Here is Notion by Kings of Leon:
The song of the year was down to three choices, Sex On Fire, People are Crazy, and Please Don't Leave Me. For a while I thought Kings of Leon were going to sweep the awards for 2009. Then there was that wild card country song that somehow made it in, and well, Pink, is Pink fer goodness snakes! So the decision was made and the song of the year is:
