Well since the best episode of LOST is "THE END", this whole thing is rather pointless. However, in a rare concession I have for the first time rewatched both of your "candidates" and . . . since I have to choose between them on your sad and cockamamie list. . . at the end of viewing both episodes my choice is:
THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS
"The End" didn't even make it to the top 100. The End was a good episode. The final 15 or so minutes was a great ending to the series but it wasn't a great episode.
Wrong again as usual.
As far as the best episode goes I got one word for ya:
